A Weekend of Community, Fun and Connection

We had a fantastic weekend out and about in our community, joining local families, friends and neighbours at two wonderful events in Greystones and Kilcoole.

Picnic in the Park – Greystones

On Saturday, we joined the community at Picnic in the Park, one of Greystones’ much-loved summer traditions. Held in Burnaby Park, the event brought families, friends, neighbours and visitors together for an afternoon of live entertainment, activities, food and plenty of community spirit.

Organised by the Greystones Town Team and Wicklow County Council, and proudly sponsored by Core Credit Union, we are delighted to support the event as Community Partner.

It was a brilliant afternoon celebrating community, connection and the simple joy of spending time together.

Harvest Festival – Kilcoole

On Sunday, we headed to Hawkins Wood and Aldborough in Kilcoole to join the local community for the annual Harvest Festival.

There was something for everyone, with an action-packed afternoon featuring the North Wicklow Farmers Market, Battle of the Bands, Teddy Bears Picnic, vintage cars, alpacas, a dog show, face painting, lawn games, badminton, football activities, yoga, Zumba, live music and much more.

Families could also enjoy the soft play area, children’s workshops, plant sales, fresh bakes, pizza, fairground games and, of course, the all-important free ice cream for the kids!

The festival was a wonderful way to celebrate the local community, enjoy the outdoors and say goodbye to summer together.

We were delighted to be part of another weekend that showcased the incredible community spirit across Greystones and Kilcoole.
