Dear Members,
We wanted to alert you of a Phishing Scam. “Phishing” is an attempt to trick you into revealing your sensitive information. Fraudsters may call you, produce text messages, emails, voice mails, and even websites that on the surface appear to be from a legitimate organisation or trusted source.
At this time, we want to make you aware of this latest scam so that you can recognise these fraudulent attempts and protect yourself against them.
We would like to remind you that Core Credit Union will never contact you by email or text and ask you for:
- your account number
- your pin and password and
- any other personal details needed to log into your account.
Legitimate sources already have this information. If you receive this type of call, do not provide any information.
If you are suspicious of any communication that appears to be from Core Credit Union, we urge you to call us immediately through the main office numbers.
