Accessibility Statement

Regulatory & Compliance

Our commitment

Core Credit Union wants everyone to be able to use our services, including people with disabilities.

We work to remove barriers to our services. If you have difficulty using a service, we will try to help. We will provide another way to access the service where possible.

Our services

Core Credit Union provides a range of financial services. These include savings, loans, mortgages, current accounts and payment services.

Depending on the service, members can access our services through our branches, website, telephone, online banking and other digital services.

What this Statement covers

This statement covers our branches, website at www.corecu.ie, telephone services, online services and the digital services we control.

Some digital services are provided with the support of third-party service providers. Where these form part of a Core Credit Union service, we work with our providers to identify and address accessibility issues.

Third-party websites that are separate from our services may have their own accessibility information.

Accessibility standards

We take account of the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023.

We also take account of recognised accessibility standards and guidelines. These include the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA for our website and digital services where applicable.

We are reviewing our website and digital services against these requirements. We do not claim that every page, document or third-party feature is fully compliant while this work is being completed.

How we support accessibility

We aim to:
• use clear headings, labels, links and instructions;
• support keyboard navigation and screen readers;
• allow text to be resized without losing important information;
• use suitable colour contrast;
• make forms and error messages easy to understand;
• provide help in our branches and through our contact channels; and
• provide information in an accessible format where needed.

Alternative formats

If you need information in an alternative accessible format, please contact us.

This may include large print, audio or another suitable format.

We will work with you to provide the information in an appropriate format or communication method where possible.

Known limitations

Some older documents, archived content, embedded media or third-party services may not yet meet every accessibility requirement.

We are reviewing these areas.

If you cannot access something, please contact us. We will try to provide an accessible alternative and work to address the problem.

Testing & improvement

We regularly review the accessibility of our services.

We use manual and automated checks.
We may also test using keyboards, different browsers and devices, screen readers and other assistive technology.

We review feedback from members. We also work with our technology and service providers to identify and fix accessibility problems.

We will update this statement as our accessibility work develops.

Tell us if you need help

If you have difficulty using our website, digital services, branches or other services, please tell us.
It is helpful if you can tell us:
• what you were trying to use;
• what went wrong;
• the device, browser or assistive technology you were using, if relevant; and
• how you would like us to contact you.
We will review the issue as soon as reasonably possible. We will try to fix the problem or provide a suitable alternative.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can use our Member Complaints Procedure.

Details are available on our website or from any Core Credit Union branch.

You may also contact the relevant external authority for the service concerned.
